Gortdrishagh House is an estate of 26 acres of gardens and woodland, with half a mile of frontage on the second largest lake in the British Isles. There are wonderful views of Lough Corrib and its islands

Built in 1898, it has been recently renovated and extended with all of the period features remaining intact.  The reception rooms have Victorian plasterwork, high ceilings and retain the elegance of a bygone era.

You can go fishing or swimming, the house has its own separate dock and swimming area adjoining the boat house. You can hunt with the North Galway Hunt or just enjoy nature through country walks.  There are also stables and room to land a helicopter. Several golf courses are close by.

The house is located at the gateway to Connemara and is only half an hour's drive to Gong (Ashford Castle), Kylemore Abbey, Roundstone and Clifden which is the western most town with magnificent views of the Atlantique.
