Meribel lies at the heart of Les Trois Vallees, making it an excellent base from which to explore over 600km of piste and the limitless powder opportunities. From La Chaudanne each gondola leads into a different valley; take the Burgin to Saulire for fashionable Courchevel, or Tougnette for the high altitude skiing of Val Thorens. The area is immense, and with the best lift system to be found anywhere, all levels of skiers can experience each of the valleys in a single day without ever removing their skis.

The village itself is undeniably the prettiest in the area with buildings made of local wood and stone, capped with charming slate roofs. It offers a variety of shops, bars and restaurants, from the bustling Rond Point to the cosmopolitan Le Poste.

Non-skiers can also reach many of the mountain restaurants, including the gastronomic Le Blanchot and the fabulous sunny terrace of the Allodis. Cross country skiing and mountain walks are very popular and the beautiful Lac de Tueda is the perfect tranquil spot from which to appreciate the snow-clad peaks. The wide variety of activities available to both skiers and non-skiers make Meribel an enduringly popular resort, to which families and friends return year after year.
